I made a rare appearance at the gathering at the pier on Memorial Day. I was so glad to say hello to many old friends as well as new ones. A delegation of PHD students from the University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland visited some Ningbo enterprises and had a close contact of the Ningbo-made products.

My wife drives me to the airport in our Toyota (made in Japan), we stop to buy gas (imported from Iran, Iraq or Libya). I get on my Motorola smart phone (made in China) to make hotel reservations on a Northwest Airline flight and I'm lucky to get a seat on an A320 Airbus (made in France).
By the time I get to the airport, I realize it probably isn't Obama creating high unemployment; it's the large companies that have been sending American jobs overseas! Those countries produce more for less money because they have no minimum wage nor environmental protection laws. I guess you could say it is these large American companies that have products made in those countries that are indirectly causing world pollution. The executives of these large companies not only pollute the world and cause high unemployment and homelessness in our country but also receive large bonuses for doing it.
Go to any large department store in America and you'd be hard pressed to find ANY "American-made" products.
